Hi there, I am Rahamut

and welcome to my space. My space? you ask! Yes, because this page is about me.

I am from Trinidad and Tobago, a lovely twin island state in the Caribbean just off Venezuela.

I have been fascinated with computers for as long as I could remember. They were quite expensive then and out of my reach until 1983 when prices started coming down.

I purchased my first computer then, still quite expensive and very sloooow. The Hard drive space was 542MB and that was considered huge at the time.

I bought this computer back then to do drawings,You know? house plans since that was my passion then. Little did I know,that the computer did not do any drawings, you had to do them yourself and then you would have drawings. It was a costly lesson to learn. but that was my first lesson in computers.That is, that the computer was merely a tool to do the drawings.

I later found out that it could do many other things, some of them added over time.

My second lesson, was that it was costly to fix especially when you did not have a clue what a motherboard was from a mother ship.

This second lesson led me into the wonderful world of computers. I did many courses over time into building and trouble shooting them and at the same time learning to use the many software I came across.

I built this web site using a computer built by myself. It has given me good service.

Following my formal training in computers I also pursued a course in electronics since I felt inadequate dealing with the computer, an electronic item, without knowing anything about electronics. It has been an eye opener and has set me at ease with the computer.
